Soy diseñador gráfico publicitario, Chileno de 25 años y actualmente desarrollo mi proyecto personal Cubotoy de forma paralela a mi trabajo como profesor y diseñador. Desde pequeño dibuje y me gustaban las manualidades, ahora un poco mayor las desarrollo y de forma más profesional, lo que me hace sentir muy bien.
Lo que me motiva son las ganas de desarrollar un proyecto único y presentar una propuesta distinta a la que hoy existe respecto al movimiento cultural Artoy. Yo no soy un coleccionista de juguetes, más bien los desarrollo con el fin de obtener el feedback del público que me hace seguir adelante... Lo que me motiva principalmente es eso, saber que siempre aparece alguien a quien le interesa mi idea y le sorprenda mi trabajo.
BIO Cubotoy is the creative work of Angello Garcia Bassi, a designer/illustrator/artist based in Chile. He was born and raised in Caldera, and lived in Santiago (Chile) for the better part of 2010. He graduated in graphic design from the University of Antofagasta.
Cubotoy's work has been exhibited around the globe, including solo exhibitions in Antofagasta and Santiago. One of his latest projects is a series of hand cast paper toys produced in limited editions.

ABOUT MY TOYS My paper toys are 100% hand-made by me in my studio. I design, sculpt and procuced the original figure. These toys are more environmentally friendly and sustainable than factory produced toys. All of my materials are manufactured in Chile.
